Additional Notes

From The Publisher*The topic of mindfulness is becoming ever more popular-and for in-depth guidance rooted in the Buddha's original teachings on the subject, Joseph Goldstein's Mindfulness stands alone. Now available in paperback, this exquisitely detailed and eminently practical work illuminates the Satipatthana Sutta-the Buddha's legendary discourse on the four foundations of mindful living.

Whether it's in business, education, medicine, or politics-wherever we apply the principles of mindfulness, benefits emerge. Yet its original purpose has remained throughout the centuries: spiritual development and, ultimately, enlightenment. In Mindfulness, Joseph Goldstein shares the wisdom of four decades of teaching and study in a book to serve as a lifelong companion for anyone committed to mindful living and the realization of inner freedom.
From The Publisher*
