Additional Notes

From The Publisher*If there is, indeed, nothing lovelier than a tree, artist Bryan Nash Gill shows us why. In this collection of notecards, based on the book Woodcut , the arboreal rings come to life in exquisite detail, revealing the great beauty and power within each tree. The notecards are contained in a handsome keepsake box, with removable bellyband.
Biographical NoteConnecticut artist Bryan Nash Gill garnered impressive reviews of his book, Woodcut, in advance of the formal pub date, one month ago in April of this year. This wide-ranging coverage has prompted fresh inquiry into the artist's pieces despite having been consistently and actively making work for the past decade. Bryan Nash Gill was born and raised in the same rural, north western corner of Connecticut were he works as an artist today. His sculptures and drawings are heavily influenced by the New England countryside but also by geographical regions as diverse as Carrara, Italy, New Orleans, and northern California where he has lived and worked.
