Biographical Note | Charts are sourced from Hagemann, a German educational charts company that has been manufacturing charts since the 1920s. See link to their web site here: http://www.hagemann.de/Lehrtafeln/ All the images on the notebooks are 'updated' reproductions of the famous Jung-Koch-Quentell charts, first published in the 1890s. Gottlieb von Koch was a painter and worked with college director Dr. Friedrich Quentell and teacher Heinrich Jung to create these charts for classroom use. In the 1950s, German company Wilhelm Hagemann Education Media (known as Hagemann) bought the rights of publication to the charts and updated them to reflect new scientific discoveries-but remaining faithful to the Jung-Koch-Quentell. |
