Jacqueline Woodson a été nommée ambassadrice nationale de la littérature jeunesse 2018-2019, un poste accordé par la Library of Congress aux États-Unis. En 2014, elle a gagné le National Book Award pour son roman autobiographique classé au palmarès du New York Times, Brown Girl Dreaming. Elle signe aussi le texte des romans Feathers, Miracle's Boys et Locomotion. Jacqueline vit avec sa famille à Brooklyn, dans l'État de New York.

Rafael López a gagné deux médailles Pura Belpré pour ses ouvres Drum Dream Girl et Book Fiesta; une médaille qui est décernée à un auteur ou un illustrateur latinoaméricain pour son interprétation de l'expérience culturelle latine par le médium du livre jeunesse. Ses illustrations se retrouvent dans le Communication Arts, le Graphic Design USA et le Huffington Post. Il a aussi créé les affiches officielles des campagnes Obama-Biden en 2008 et 2012. Rafael partage son temps entre San Diego, en Californie et San Miguel de Allende, au Mexique.

Jacqueline Woodson is the 2018-2019 National Ambassador for Young People's Literature and received the 2018 Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award and the 2018 Children's Literature Legacy Award. She is the 2014 National Book Award winner for her New York Times bestselling memoir Brown Girl Dreaming. Her books include The Other Side, Each Kindness, Coming On Home Soon, Feathers, and Miracle's Boys. Jacqueline lives with her family in Brooklyn, New York.

Rafael López won Pura Belpré medals for Drum Dream Girl and Book Fiesta. His work has been featured in Communication Arts, American Illustration Annual, Graphic Design USA and Huffington Post. He's a founder of San Diego's Urban Art Trail movement and he created official posters for the 2008 and 2012 Obama-Biden campaigns. Rafael lives and works in downtown San Diego and in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico.
