From The Booth
Oscar-watchers may want to rush to our early March dates, while the more patient viewers will have the latter March dates to take in Daniel Day-Lewis’ last screen performance. Anyone with an interest in fashion will want to bask in this exacting portrait of Reynolds Woodcock (Mr Day-Lewis), a fashion designer in 1950s London who takes an unknown waitress as his model and muse. With the expert thespian guidance of Mr Day-Lewis, Vicky Krieps and Leslie Manville we enter a very well-dressed world of odd behaviour, formalism and compulsion. Hey, we’re not talkin’ Spielberg here, you can bring your thinkin’ glasses.
