The Reelworld Screen Institute, a Toronto-based nonprofit founded in 2000 to advance opportunities for Canadians who are Black, Indigenous, Asian, South Asian, and People of Colour in the screen industries, is hosting a free film screening at The Bookshelf on June 8.

Building Resilient Communities Through Film: A Reelworld Event

Join us for a night of community as we come together to explore the changing neighbourhoods around us. Through the power of film, Reelworld will spark conversations about how we can support each other during these uncertain times.

We will be screening the short film On the Fence, and feature-length film Unarmed Verses, followed by an informal discussion about important topics such as housing, home-ownership and community. Reelworld's moderator Sapphire Woods will lead the discussion, which will also feature a special guest from Guelph - Erin Caton, City Councillor Ward 1!

Don't miss out on this opportunity to connect with your neighbours and learn from each other. We hope to see you there.

This is a FREE event. Refreshments will be provided. Register here.
