As the unlikely genre of horror/comedy continues to grow, enter Nicholas Hoult (last seen expiring in The Menu) in the title role of Renfield, bound through eons of time and servitude to Count Dracula. And who better than Nic Cage, in his own scenery-chewing style, to play the blood thirsty Count, in a performance the Globe's Barry Hertz described as "equal parts Lugosi and Liberace." I don't know about you, but that just about covers the cost of admission for me. As if the fine folks of New Orleans haven't suffered enough over time, the Big Easy serves as the locale for the Count's latest blood-red adventures. Co-starring Awkwafina and Ben Schwartz. If you're going to camp, don't forget the stakes.
