From November 2019 through June 2020, Dr. Oore and her son, the musician and composer Daniel Oore, will be doing a Canada Council funded performance tour through various Canadian cities. Entitled Genocide and Improvisation: Listener and Teller, this interdisciplinary performance talk will creatively and critically examine trauma, its transmission, and its transcendence, by reflecting on the book The Listener through reading, improvisation, music, and more.
