My name is Krystal Eipl and I am the new General Manager of The eBar! I am thrilled to join such an awesome team here at The eBar, Bookshelf and Cinema. I look forward to the many friendships and bonds that we will create and all of the exciting things we will experience together.
I bring with me nearly six years of experience in various capacities at the Albion Hotel, where I fell in love with the amazing city of Guelph! I always tell people that Guelph is like the small towns I grew up in: everyone knows everyone, people wave, they smile, open doors and they help each other out!
Guelph has that 'big city feel' but with certain advantages small towns just don't have: access to public transportation, better jobs in an industry that they enjoy, easier accessibility to resources and even a place to get groceries after a super late night at work! I’ve witnessed the way this community comes together to support each other, lend a hand and make this world a better place to live in. I really wouldn't want to live or work anywhere else.
My years of experience in the Service Industry started when I was just twelve years old. Small community fall fair food booths and soccer refereeing, family-owned pizza shops, as well as large fast food chains. I am also the oldest of six children.. any oldest siblings know what I'm talking about!
I have taken some courses in Interior Design which have really come in handy for our recent updates to the ebar! I enjoy staying in the loop: reading about current events, daily happenings and staying active on social media for local events in our community. My Grandfather and I used to sit and read the newspaper together, and I still love following current trends while not being afraid to make my own!
I am passionate about organizing all sorts of events - weddings are my favourite! My attention to small details and my passion to ensure everyone has an enjoyable time is one of the strongest qualities that I bring to my work. I’ve enjoyed building relationships with many of Guelph's downtown patrons, learning their stories and their favourite drink of choice. I love a good conversation about sports, the news, craft beer, amazing cocktails or even just how your day is going. I have a deep love for music, photography and delicious food, but I also happily curl up with a book or a movie with some theatre popcorn!
Our current menu is provided by Mijiidaa, our neighbours below. I've really liked every item I have tried thus far! The ebar also has its own great kitchen space which I'm planning to book for pop-up kitchens, cooking lessons, privately-catered dinners and parties. If are interested in any of these booking opportunities, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org
I look forward to working with the many groups, promoters, local business owners and loyal guests that have chosen The eBar as the perfect venue to host their events, bring their friends out to dinner or to enjoy a night out drinking and dancing. If you see me around the bar, please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself! It's the Guelph thing to do...
