Pittacus Lore is an author famous for the "I Am Number Four" series, which was very popular in my grade a couple of years ago. I have no doubt that this new series will be famous too. I enjoyed reading Generation One, although it was challenging at first because of the new language that was introduced (the Human Garde, for example). The book tells the story of a group of young people who possess incredible, dangerous powers. The characters in the book come from all over the world. Because of their different personalities and backgrounds, at first these characters do not get along, but became really close friends in the end. I enjoyed the story and how each chapter was described from someone else's perspective. This book would appeal to young adults of any gender and the story itself is well mapped out, surprising you at unexpected moments. I tend to enjoy books with more emotional depth, but this made for a good action-packed, fast-paced read.
