Wolf Hollow tells the story of Annabelle, who lives a normal life for a girl in 1943, until a new girl, Betty Glengarry, comes to town, everything changes. Betty is mean and hurtful to everyone she meets. When Betty suddenly disappears one day, everyone is quick to blame her disappearance on Toby, a World War I veteran, but Annabelle is not convinced that he is the guilty party. She seeks the truth, and learns to stand up for what she believes in before it’s too late. My favorite part of the book is the element of surprise and suspense. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes mystery, and a story where kids find the courage to stand up for what matters to them.
