Robert Hoge's Ugly is a memoir showcasing his bravery in overcoming the many challenges of being born different. When Hoge was born, he had a tumor the size of tennis ball in his face. Doctors had to detach his nose to remove the tumor, and also amputated his legs which were deformed; they used one of his toes for a nose.
In spite of his physical differences, he was always excited about sports, even though he couldn't play them. When he finally gets the chance to get the operation that could change his life, what will he choose?
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed Wonder.
